Minimally Invasive Hip
Surgery (MIS)
Mini-posterior approach is recommended.
Minimal trauma to muscles to allow
rapid mobilisation.
This minimises pain and blood loss.
Only standard, well tried and proven implants are used.
Early discharge from hospital is facilitated, but it is emphasised that patient-related factors
are often more important.
Please note - this technique has no bearing on the long-term survival of the hip replacement itself.
